Work Computer Use

Only authorized users should be using your work-provided computer and logging in to your account on that computer. Allowing another user to use your account/computer can give them access to resources that should only be accessible to you.

Finding contacts on social media, e.g., Facebook, LinkedIn

Entering your University credentials to allow another site to search your address book shares your campus credentials. See UIT’s ServiceNow article on Social Networks asking for Login Credentials. Providing your credentials to an external site is against University policy. The best policy is to search for your colleagues manually.
