Wondering whom to contact about your tech issue? If you are using a computer supported by the College of Fine Arts, you can start by contacting CFA IT. However, here are some general guidelines for some other campus services:
College of Fine Arts File Servers
If you have questions about the Fine Arts’ file servers, please contact CFA IT. Note that we have a number of articles on this web site that describe how to connect to the servers from on- and off-campus.
Classroom/Lab Technology Needs
If you need software installed in one of the computer labs in the College of Fine Arts, please contact CFA IT. If you are having problems with one of the computers in a CFA Lab, please contact CFA IT.
If you are having trouble with A/V Equipment in one the of labs in the College of Fine Arts, the contact varies by the lab. If you do not already know who to contact, let us know and we can point you in the right direction. Most A/V Equipment on campus is managed by DLT
Adobe Creative Cloud
If you are having an issue with an Adobe application on your work computer, contact CFA IT.
Canvas
Digital Learning Technologies (DLT) can help with Canvas/Instructure specific issues.
DUO
Duo is managed by UIT. The main campus help desk is the best contact for Duo issues unless the issue only occurs on your work computer, then contact CFA IT
Microsoft Office / O365
If you are having an issue with one of the Microsoft applications on your work computer, contact CFA IT. This includes: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, among others.
Phones
Campus phones are managed by UIT. Please contact the campus help desk with phone issues: https://it.utah.edu/
Printers
Office printer support varies. The respective office staff should know who the contact is for their printers/copiers. If you don’t know, contact CFA IT and we should be able to find out.
uMail
If you are experiencing a uMail issue on your CFA IT managed computer, please contact CFA IT first. UIT Manages uMail and can help with general uMail issues.
Zoom
If you are having an issue with the Zoom application on your work computer, please contact CFA IT first. DLT manages Zoom for campus and can help with general Zoom issues.
