CFA IT supports faculty and staff computers purchased by the employee’s organization. These include Apple computers in the following organizations:

• College of Fine Arts’ Dean’s Office
• Department of Art & Art History
• School of Dance
• Department of Film & Media Arts
• School of Music
• Department of Theatre
• Utah Center for Vocology
• Utah Museum of Fine Arts
• Utah Presents

Apple computers purchased for the College and its units are purchased with a three year AppleCare plan. If your computer is having issues, please contact us as soon as possible. If the issue is hardware, it may be covered by the plan.

Some key software on faculty and staff computers are:

• CrashPlan – backs up your user folder on the computer
• TeamViewer – allows us to connect to your computer to provide support
• JAMF – provides much of the configuration needed for CFA computers at the University of Utah
• CFA Self Service – a JAMF application that facilitates installation of some software, troubleshooting tools, OS upgrades, among others
