Workstation Backups

In accordance with campus policies, the College of Fine Arts Computer Support and Information Systems group maintains a backup server for all faculty and staff computers. In order to ensure that your work computer is backed up, there are some simple things you need to do.

1. When you leave your computer unattended, either log out or leave your computer alone and let it go into a protected screen-saver mode on its own.
2. Contact CFA-CSIS immediately if you receive an email that you have not been backed up.
   Occasionally, the backup server develops a problem connecting to a client. By letting our office know as soon as you receive an alert that you have not been being backed up, you help ensure that we don’t find out the hard way – when you need data restored.
